In April, the Office of Job Corps distributed Program Information Notice 19-15 (PIN 19-15) to the Job Corps system. The Office of Job Corps subsequently issued Program Information Notice 19-17 (PIN 19-17) announcing that on May 11 all Job Corps centers will convert to distance learning. As indicated in the notice, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is still evaluating the IT investments that will be necessary to ensure our students can participate in distance learning and additional guidance will be forthcoming. ETA continues to host weekly calls with Job Corps operators and regional staff to discuss and solve pressing issues facing our students, staff and centers. We remain grateful to the Office of Job Corps and ETA for their leadership during the pandemic.
The Job Corps community of operators has begun to develop resources to assist Job Corps staff and students in the transition to distance learning as well as to prepare for the eventual re-opening of Job Corps Centers. Please click on the links below to download or link to the guides.
